RL Foster appraisals are charged by an hourly rate. Currently that rate is $64 per hour, one of the lowest rates in the area. RL Foster appraisals do not charge for travel time nor for any consultation regarding the appraisal. Payment is required at the time of completion unless other arrangements have been made. Credit card payments are available.

RL Foster will provide the client a maximum estimate of time for the appraisal, and if the actual time surpasses this estimate, the client is not charged.

Estimate of Value

An initial inspection of the artwork may conclude that the cost of an appraisal is not warranted, and RL Foster can offer an estimate of value. The charge for this estimate is $25.
